joyfully

Sooo since it's been nearly a month since i have blogged, I decided I should probably write something.... But I don't have many things to tell you. Disappointing, huh??
Florida has been absolutely delightful over the past month. The weather has been pretty good for the most part. It's getting warmer here (praise Jesus!, literally) which means we have been able to go out on the beach... I am really excited about living here as it gets warmer and warmer. My sister and I keep talking about how we have the biggest advantage to get tan! (a girl can dream, huh?)
Wellll... I've done a lot of reading, journalling, working out, praying, and reflecting this past month. I have a lot of hope for 2011. I have given this year over to the Lord. (Have Your way, Father)
Today I read a lot of scripture about marriage. "A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her" Proverbs 31:10-12,25-26,28
I'm so excited about this journey i'm about to embark on... I will share more later about the "journey" I speak of :)
I will be in Jackson on Wednesday! I am so excited to see my precious friends. I will be there for about two weeks. Lord, may You be glorified in the fellowship I take part in while I'm there.

"But may all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; may those who love Your salvation always say, 'The Lord be exalted!'" Psalm 40:16

be encouraged, people. :) Your Father loves you beyond what you could ever comprehend.

I'm seriously the WORST blogger EVER.... so i'll start with Christmas. It was SO much fun. We made all sorts of fun, holiday desserts-- including tiger butter, cake, homemade sugar cookies with homemade icing.. and i made homemade chex mix . SO yummy!
Christmas day was absolutely amazing. We woke up, opened presents, and baked a little... it was such a good day. Then, the next day we got up and drove to Jackson and had Christmas with the grandparents and cousins
Breakthru was the 27-30, and I truly mean this when I say that it was the best year. From the message to worship to fellowship, the Lord was all over the place. I knew He would be. Small group time was so great. We were all so honest with eachother, and the Lord was truly glorified in our time together and He revealed to us so much about who He is and who He says that we are. Ah, it was SO great.
New Years Eve was so much fun and super laid back. A bunch of girls and I ordered pizza, drank sparkling grape juice, made s'mores and played catch phrase. We watched Modern Family and Dick Clark's New Years special. It was so much fun.

Soooo... It's now January 2nd. My second day of fasting from twitter and facebook. I am seriously on one of them ALL the time! it's really sad. So, I've decided that I am going to fast from both the first week of every month. So far, it's been pretty hard but i just want to invest my time in people and be FULLY present in my fellowship, and i want to spend more time with the Lord.
The only New Year's resolution i have is to seek the Lord more. I want to know Him more this year. This is HIS year. I'm so excited to see what He does and how He moves in my life...

hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year's.
be blessed :)
